USA Athletics Christensen 14U/UT captured the gold championship at the D1 Hometown Heroes Tournament on September 12-13, defeating 42 teams in the Utah competition held to honor local military heroes. Head Coaches Brackon Christensen and Jamie Christensen guided their squad through one of the most challenging tournament schedules of the season.

With only nine players available, the team faced a grueling Saturday schedule, playing eight consecutive games over 14 hours without a break. "After a rough start and only 9 players the girls played 14 hours straight on Saturday without a break," the coaching staff said. "They battled 42 teams all with a smile on their faces. It was amazing to witness their perseverance and true grit."

Tournament umpires awarded championship game balls to Hadlee Christensen for outstanding pitching, recognizing her "arm that never quits," and to Finley Bailey for her resilience and ability to recover and make crucial defensive plays after errors.
