USA Athletics 10U Navarro claimed the championship at the Space Coast World Series in Melbourne, Florida, finishing first among 25 competing teams. Head Coach Jessica Navarro's squad posted a 7-1 overall record through eight games, going 3-0 in pool play before securing the title with a 4-1 bracket performance at the Space Coast Complex in Viera.
The tournament featured exceptional individual performances alongside the team victory. Reagan Turadek earned Tournament MVP honors, while Jayla Montes received the Defensive Player award and Makenzie Frausto was recognized with the Sportsmanship award.
The team demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout the week-long competition, playing through extreme heat, rain, lightning evacuations, and extended rain delays.
"Proud is an understatement these girls battled through it all with grit and resilience, they played for each other," the team shared following their championship victory. The 10U squad now sets their sights on their next competition in Ogden, Utah, as they continue their championship season.
