USA Athletics 16U Brinson traveled to Jacksonville Beach this weekend for the USSSA Jax Bash. Day one wasn’t the way we wanted to start, but this team showed what resilience looks like. They came back today with a new mindset and were ready to compete.
After battling through the bracket, we fought our way back to the Championship Game against a team we had defeated in pool play. Unfortunately, lightning and rain delays brought the tournament to an early end and we were awarded the championship for being the higher seed.
I couldn’t be more proud of these athletes. They didn’t let mistakes define them—they learned from them, responded, and turned errors into great plays. That’s what growth looks like. The fight, determination, and heart they showed all weekend are exactly what this team is built on.
